As Senior Tribe Controller you will challenge the performance of one or more departments/tribes of the Products domain and will work together with 1,200 colleagues.

You and your job
In the role of Senior Tribe controller for the Chief Products Officer (CPO) domain you play an essential role in helping to improve delivery performance within the Retail NL domain. In this role you will be reporting to the Business Controller CPO.

Your proactive and forward-looking analysis leads to new decision making enabling significant improvement in business results. You achieve this by providing new insights as a Tribe Controller and acting as sparring partner with various stakeholders. High Tech, High Touch, that is the aim of CFO. We go for automation where FinTech/AI is an important theme, but we also believe that personal impact really makes the difference. Challenge when necessary and contribute with impact!

The Senior Tribe Controller challenges when necessary and contributes where possible. The CPO domain is responsible for the delivery of all product and client journeys, managed via a tribe and takes care of the right balance in quality and cost of delivery/realization. The CPO organization prioritizes IT and operational activities in several tribes and operational teams connected to the tribes. Rabobank has several tribes, such as Business Lending, Housing, Payments & Savings, Insurance & Pensions.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Acting as a trusted advisor for one or more department/tribes on (non)-financial and governance matters.
• Steering and coordinating business control activities for CPO domain, such as financial and management accounting, organizing and coordinating financial management cycle (within boundaries of MTP process), challenging senior management in strategic decision making, advising business and supporting management in (financial) steering of domain.
• Help prioritize activities between the various teams via meaningful insights to balance business, Tech and Risk priorities to optimize cost-benefit for the bank.

In this position as Senior Tribe Controller CPO, you have the opportunity to be a true Chief Value Officer (CVO) and bring our CFO (CVO) strategy into action. Furthermore, CVOs provides analyses, benchmarking, scenario analyses etc. to provide insights and robust challenge that drive the strategy, business decisions and In Control-process. The team is also responsible for controlling the execution of initiatives and projects, the performance on the KPIs and the control of the usage of resources such as costs.

Retail NL is a customer led organization, with customer segments that steer the integral P&L and define the business priorities in the relevant customer journeys (across product, distribution and pricing). We strive for maximum frontline commercial empowerment, decentralizing commercial and risk decisions where possible within guardrails (risk criteria and authority set and monitored). We stick to S@S way of working and even extend this to Operations, but the Commercial responsibility is transferred to the customer segments. Centralization of products in the MT Retail NL to optimize the backlog prioritization process and drive improvements in product journeys as well as efficiency in the end-to-end product value chain.

You and your talent

Customer focus, communication power, personal development and realizing results are clearly essential for the role of Business Controller Products. In addition, it's important that you recognize yourself in the checklist below:

• Your Dutch language skills (spoken in the Netherlands) are excellent, both in speaking and in writing;
• You have a completed university education, or higher, with a numerical or strategic focus;
• You are an expert in finance and business control and understand the impact of legislation on the business;
• You are able to spar or support with management about the (complex) control activities for an entire tribe;
• You have experience with Simply@Scale way of working and preferably understanding or experience with IT;
• You are experienced in relevant RaboSkills, such as Change agility, Storytelling and Professional Collaboration.

This is what we offer you

• A gross monthly salary of € 5.115 – 7.307 (scale 10 of the Rabobank CLA) which amounts to a maximum gross salary of approximately € 100.000 euro on an annual basis – excluding EBB / included is a 13th month & holiday allowance);
• an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your 12 month salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out;
• A 36 hour workweek;
• Hybrid working.
