Nov. 19, 1978 THE SHREVEPORT TIMES Joseph Roppolo DEATHS Funeral services for Joseph P. "Joe" Roppolo, 66, of 1916 Audubon Place will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev.

Murray Clayton and the Rev. Joseph Inzena, pastors at St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel. Mr.

Roppolo died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday at Schumpert Medical Center after a brief illness. A New Orleans native, he lived in Shreveport the past 50 years. He was president of Roppolo Insurance Agency and past president of the Progressive Men's Club, the Caddo Levee Board and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Papa Roppolo of Joseph Shreveport; two and sons, Mark Gregory, Roppolo Roppolo, both of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. N.J. Huckaby of Bossier City and Mary Pritchard, Mrs. T.J. DeFatta, Ann Como and Mrs.

A.C. Cefalu, all of Shreveport; four brothers, Angelo Roppolo, Nick J. Roppolo, Leon F. Roppolo and Carlo P. polo, all of Shreveport; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers are Joe Russo, Joseph Glorioso, Dominick Tuminello, Ronnie Tuminello, Rickey Roppolo and James Huckaby. Ted Claude Whited Services for Ted Claude Whited, 56, of Memphis, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport with Dr. John B. Rogers officiating.

Burial arrangements are pending. Osborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Whited died Friday in Jackson, Miss. He was a resident of Shreveport for 12 years.

He was a Baxter Springs, native and grew up in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Texas Christian University and graduated from Wichita State University. Mr. Whited was a manufacturer's representative with the Whited Co. He served during World War II as a Navy aviator and was a deacon in the Second Presbyterian Church of Memphis.

Survivors include his widow, Virginia Whited of Memphis; his mother, Mrs. Claude Whited of Wichita, son, Dr. Steven Whited of Kensington, a daughter, Patricia Whited of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Myron Hull of Wichita, and Mrs. 'Curtis Schneider of Topeka, and a grandson. Pallbearers will be Lee Bransford, Raymond R.

Flowers, Dr. Melvin Johnson, James J. Mangan, Robert W. Owens, Joseph Scheirer, Fletcher Thorne-Thomsen and Edward B. Wilkey.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church or other charity. Jimmy Hodges Services for Jimmy Hodges, 42, of Cotton Valley will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Fellowship Tabernacle Church in Bossier City with the Rev. Lonnie G. Jordan, pastor of the church, officiating.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bossier City, with Wellman's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hodges was a Humphrey, native and a construction worker. He died Friday at 7:10 p.m. at Veterans Hospital in Shreveport after a long illness.

He was a member of the Fellowship Tabernacle Church and a veteran of the Korean and the Vietnam wars. Survivors include his widow, Tommie A. Hodges of Cotton Valley; mother, Lillie Willis of Waldon, three sons, Thomas C. Gibson of Cotton Valley, James R. Gibson of Humphrey, and Leonard L.

Gibson of Humphrey, three daughters, Claudia McWilliams of Bossier City; Dorothy Hodges of Humphrey, and Joyce Bascus of Shreveport; a brother, Joe Roy Hodges of Humphrey, four sisters, Bertha Rowe of Fort Payne, Dorothy Lyons of Wasco, Faye Wiggins of Gravelly, and Alice Feco of Haughton; and 16 grandchildren. Myrtie Kirk Teer Funeral services for Myrtie Kirk Teer, 66, of Rodessa will be at 2:30 p.m. today in McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian with the Rev. J.W. Crowe, pastor of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Vivian. Mrs. Teer died about 10 p.m. Friday at Brooks Hospital in Atlanta, Texas, following a lengthy illness. A native of Aubrey, Texas, she lived the past 42 years in Rodessa.

She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, E.H. Teer of Rodessa; a son, Dale Teer of Rodessa; two daughters, Louona Harper of Monticello, and Frances Tate of Corpus Christi; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dura Browne Dura A. Browne, 72, of 219 Pennsylvania died Friday in Willis-Knighton Hospital after a brief illness.

The Riverdale, native had been a resident of Shreveport since 1945 and was a member of Queensborough Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Chandler, pastor of Queensborough Baptist Church and the Rev. Gerald Trussell, interim associate pastor of Queensborough Baptist Church, officiating under the direction of Osborn Funeral Home.
