In October, 1926, the sanctuary of the church was finished and was dedicated- Cost of this part of thel Twelve years ago when Doctor Reed' took over the indebtedness remaining was $60,000.
The church is a beautiful structure and is fashioned after the ancient cathedrals. There are over 1,500 arches In the building. It was designed by A. F. Wicks, architect, and built under his ssupervision.

Oliphint Will Receive Degree Benjamin Ray Oliphant will receive the bachelor of divinity Wegree from Duke university in exercises to be held on May 25. de gree from Southern Methodist university in 1944. While at Duke, he prrved as assistant minister of the Duke Memorial Methodist church, and was active in divinity schcol student activities. Last fall was awarded a National Methodist scholarship for his scholastic record at Duke. His thesis, submitted in partial fulfillment of the degree, was entitled "The Relation of Church and State In the Thought and Practice of St. Ambrose of Milan."
